Belonging to the same family as horses, zebras are famous worldwide for their pajamas look. The African landscape remains unique thanks to these magnificent animals that remain an attraction point for any tourist to Africa. Click through here for more info on tiger tattoos .

There are three major species of zebras, the mountain zebras, the plains zebras and the Grevy’s each with specific features and behaviors additional to the common traits. There are large parts of Kenya where Grevy’s or imperial zebras coexist with plain zebras for instance; these two subspecies are actually the ones to resemble horses most. Though living only in Africa, zebras are adapted to a very wide range of habitats from savannas and grasslands to mountains, hills and woodlands.

Presently, the number of zebras roaming in the wild is definitely smaller than a century ago since the development of human civilization has had its impact on the zebra population, not to mention that for quite a while they were abusively hunted for their skins. You will get additional info on lion tattoo here.

The striped patters that zebras are famous for, represent an ID mark of each individual as the specimens recognize each other visually. Moreover, zebras can get well camouflaged against lions thanks to the same stripy skin. The stripes look just like waving grass particularly when the zebras live in herds, under such circumstances the monochromatic vision of lions doesn’t allow them to hunt very well. Zebras have great eyesight, not to mention that scientists believe that these animals have a visual acuity that makes them able to distinguish colors. Moreover, night vision is one other remarkable skill together with a great sense of hearing.

Danger can be more easily detected with the ability to move ears in all directions, and last but not least, unlike many other mammals the smell and taste are truly remarkable as well. As for food preferences, zebras don’t get to starve as they are very adaptable grazers, feeding on herbs, twigs, trees bark, shrubs or leaves. Another anatomical advantage is the capacity of the zebras to live on small amounts of nutrients, which means that any grass is good as long as it is not toxic. You will get oodles of complementary info about lion head tattoo here.

The mating habits of the zebras vary from one subspecies to another: some live in permanent groups of several mares and a stallion, while other only gather in herds temporarily for the mating season. The mating cycle takes place once a year for females ending with the birth of a single foal.

pThere are many people out there that are dressing their pets up for no reason at all which is quite bizzare. In many ways this has turned into a bit of a fashion amongst dogs. The celebrity that is famous for doing this the most has to be Paris Hilton as she is always buying her dog Tinkerbell expensive gifts and clothes.!–more– How far is it before it stops being nice and starts being a bit cruel?br / br / The opinon that I have on this is that if you are going to dress a dog up then you are wasting your time because the dog could be injured in the process. The only dogs that people tend to dress up are the small ones that look more like small rats than a proper dog. Why are people always dressing their pets up?br / br / There are times where people do it for competitions. The problem is that many companies are actually encouraging this by having fashion shows for these dogs.br / br / However there are many people that dress their dog in coats because it can get very cold in the winter and if you have a small dog then that is perfectly acceptable. The problem is that without the help of a human, these dogs would be totally useless so is it really a good idea that we dress them up.br / br / The RSPCA are also arguing that going too far with this could result in some charges against cruelty to animals. This is a very good idea as many people put their dogs in little boots which could of course damage the legs of the animal. Before you know it the pet could have to have one of those a href=http://www.grovelodge.co.uk/vet-referrals.asp target=_blankvet referrals/a for something like a href=http://www.grovelodge.co.uk/small-animal-dermatology.asp target=_blankanimal dermatology/a or even a href=http://www.grovelodge.co.uk/opthalmology.asp target=_blankanimal ophthalmology/a.br / br / One of the best things you can do here is to just sit down and have a think, does the dog actually need to be wearing any of this. A coat is acceptable in the winter but anything else could be a bit stupid./p

pThere is a regular problem that always occurs when talking about Africa. Africa does seem to have the most amazing animal life forms as we know them today. But people always say that Africa had some of the most popular dinosaurs as we currently know them.!–more– Although Africa had a wide range of dinosaurs both in the Triassic and Jurassic periods, the more well known ones were in fact not originating from Africa. So lets take a look at which of these dinosaurs are actually mistaken as being from Africa./pp/ppT-Rex/ppThe Tyrannosaurus rex is the daddy of all dinosaurs. To this current day the T Rex is still the most recognized dinosaur in the world. The T Rex was around the cretaceous period and in what we now acknowledge as Western North America. The most dangerous dinosaur of them all was not in the African continent./pp/ppAllosaurus/ppThe Allosaurus was like the T Rex and was a fierce dinosaur in the Jurassic period. Again these dinosaurs were actually from North America, but did eventually move over to Portugal and Tanzania./pp/ppVelociraptor/ppThe Velociraptor was again a fierce dinosaur, but not as big as the above two. The Velociraptor was in the Cretaceous period and was originally thought to be from Asia. The Velociraptor is famous for its place in the Jurassic Park films, but it is said that the Jurassic Park films were quite inaccurate as a true Velociraptor was much smaller and had wings to its name. The actions of the Velociraptor were though spot on showing how fierce such a small creature can be./pp/ppFor great a href=http://www.africasky.co.uk target=_blanksafari/a, a href=http://www.africasky.co.uk/lamu-holidays/ target=_blankLamu safari/a and a href=http://www.africasky.co.uk/namibia-holidays/ target=_blankNamibia safari/a/p

pSafaris are becoming more and more popular, as the human race gets in allude with their more gentle side. People are utterly spell-bound by animals and their movements, but for a lot of people going on Safari is something that they just cannot afford in this current economic mood. So the next best matter would genuinely have to be the local zoo.!–more– But what selection of animals can you expect to see at the zoo? Lets take a closer look./pp/ppBlack Rhinos/ppBlack Rhinos are actually very rare to find outside of Africa, but there are a few places that they can be seen in the UK. Bring your camera along with you because they genuinely are a once in a life time chance./pp/ppTigers/ppYou do not want to get too close to the African tigers, but once again they can be a really beautiful animal to follow and take pictures of. Tigers brought over to UK zoos are more common then Black Rhinos, so you may well catch a glimpse of them everywhere./pp/ppGorillias/ppGorillas are some of the most amazing and intelligent of all the animals, simply because of the fact that they are so similar to human beings. They are always amazing to watch./pp/ppGiraffes and Elephants/ppAfrican Giraffes and Elephants are again a common sight in UK zoos; they are a very common animal to come across and can live in various different conditions and locations throughout the entire world. Once again a vast but gentle and loving animal which can be admired for hours upon hours./pp/ppSafaris are a great way to explore a animals natural habitat and although a zoo gives you a glimpse of these animals it is really not the same./pp/ppFor superb a href=http://www.africasky.co.uk target=_blanksafari holidays/a, a href=http://www.africasky.co.uk/tanzania-holidays/ target=_blankTanzania safari/a and a href=http://www.africasky.co.uk/namibia-holidays/ target=_blankNamibia safari/a/p
